Spend Some Time this Weekend Playing
December tends to be the busiest month with so much added stress. I know you’re busy, and it might be hard to carve out a bit of time, but I encourage you to set aside some time just for fun.
I always encourage everyone to play on a regular basis, it’s even more important to spend some time relaxing and having fun when you’re especially stressed. Before Christmas we all tend to run around, wrapped up in finding the perfect gift, baking just one more batch of cookies, and committing to too many activities.
This weekend, I’ll spend the day Saturday getting away by myself for my year end review. I’ll go over this year, focusing especially on the last few months and I’ll tweak my personal plan. In the evening I plan to relax and have fun with my family. Watch a movie, play a board game, even make some hot cocoa—whipped cream and candy canes are a must!
Getting away to go over my personal plan helps me stay focused and what better way to end my day then to hang out with the people that matter most to me in the first place.
As the year is winding down, don’t get too caught up in the festivities to spend some quality time with your loved ones relaxing and having fun. If you find yourself becoming overwhelmed and exhausted, be sure to address it and not plow through. Don’t start the new year feeling run down and behind!
